Recently, the construction of the Beidong Connecting Line project has reached another key construction milestone. On August 15, the Beidong Connecting Line project achieved a key breakthrough —the first box girder was precisely positioned and successfully erected, marking that the project has officially entered a new stage of box girder erection.

　　This box girder erection operation was carried out at the project's Guangling Girder Fabrication Yard. The erected box girder is 32.6 meters long, with a single girder weighing 356 tons, involving high construction difficulty and stringent precision requirements. To ensure construction quality and efficiency, the project adopted a complete set of intelligent large-tonnage transport and erection equipment for coordinated operation, establishing a standardized and intelligent construction process. On site, a series of procedures were completed in strict accordance with specifications, including girder transfer by straddle carrier, precise loading onto the launching gantry at the lifting station, and erection by the bridge launching machine. Through multiple rigorous processes such as passing through spans, lifting, transverse movement, girder lowering, and fine adjustment of bearings, the box girder weighing hundreds of tons was positioned with millimeter-level precision. The entire construction process was efficient, orderly, smooth, and controllable, as precise and efficient as "building blocks," demonstrating the hard-core strength of modern infrastructure engineering.

　　The first box girder was erected on schedule, and the main line girder erection operation channel has been completed, opening up the work face for subsequent large-scale girder erection construction. It is reported that as of now, the bridge works of the Beidong Connecting Line project have been completed 45%, of which pile caps have been completed 67.3%, piers and abutments 49.2%, bored piles 86%, precast girders 10%, and construction access roads 95%.
