On May 20, with the precise insertion of the first steel pipe pile into the Oujiang River estuary riverbed, the construction of the main pier platform for the Wenzhou-Fuzhou High-Speed Railway Section 3 project officially commenced. This marks the full-scale launch of waterborne construction for the Oujiang Road-Rail Bridge — the key control project with the largest span and highest technical difficulty in the Zhejiang section of the Wenzhou-Fuzhou High-Speed Railway.

The main pier platform under construction is 140 meters long and 85 meters wide, with an area equivalent to 28 standard basketball courts. It is a key preliminary waterborne construction project for the north channel bridge of the Oujiang Road-Rail Bridge. During project preparation, CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., together with the Marine Economic Development Zone, Yueqing City, and relevant departments, proactively reviewed regulatory requirements and efficiently completed preliminary approvals such as temporary sea use demonstration, flood control impact assessment, and navigation safety demonstration, focusing on overcoming water and underwater construction permits to accelerate the compliant and safe start of the main pier platform. Meanwhile, the intelligent steel rebar distribution center located in the Lingkun Industrial Park of the Marine Economic Development Zone passed acceptance in April this year. Equipped with advanced equipment such as a split-type fully automatic rebar cage welding workstation and intelligent rebar sawing and threading machines, the center operates as a fully enclosed factory, providing solid support for offshore pile foundation construction from the source.
