On the morning of May 15, at the construction site of the Taiguli·Wheatfield Complex (formerly the Xinhai Fish and Rice Market project), 23 pile drivers were working simultaneously across three major zones, with various types of engineering machinery operating in an orderly and efficient manner. The project has now fully entered the pile foundation construction phase.

The Taiguli·Wheatfield Complex project is located south of Yijiangshan Avenue and east of Zhongxin Avenue, in the core section of the Xinhai Green Corridor. Surrounded by farmland, the project enjoys a superior ecological environment with two major water systems, the Jiazhi River and the Hongjiachangpu. At the same time, it is close to major transport arteries such as the Inner Ring Expressway and the City Railway Line S1, with a convenient and smooth road network and efficient connections to the city's core area.

"We are currently pushing forward pile foundation construction at full speed and expect to complete the pile foundation work entirely by early July," said Zhou Ping, the on-site project manager. The project has a total floor area of more than 62,000 square meters and is planned with three major functional zones: a quality dining area, an entertainment and leisure area, and a hotel and wellness area, creating a one-stop mix of diverse offerings including quality dining, boutique hotels, cultural and entertainment centers, and ecological parks.

Unlike traditional commercial complexes, the project draws deeply on Taizhou's natural endowment of "seven parts mountains, one part water, two parts farmland," organically integrating the region's native landscape and ecological character with its architectural design concepts. It preserves the original farmland texture to the greatest extent possible, achieving a seamless blend of commercial space and pastoral ecology, and striving to create a new landmark for an ideal urban lifestyle that brings together ecology, culture, and commerce.

"In the future, this place will not only offer 24-hour relaxed lifestyle scenes and distinctive dining clusters, but also internet-famous spots such as a wheat field viewing platform and art performance spaces, meeting the multiple needs of different groups for photo opportunities, leisure and entertainment, and quality consumption," Zhou Ping said.

It is understood that the project is being developed by Jiaojiang Agricultural Development Investment Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Jiaojiang Urban Development Group, and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2028.

Once completed, the project will fill the gap in Jiaojiang's ecological, cultural, and tourism commercial complexes, link the Xinhai section with the commercial core area, further improve the city's functional layout, and help Jiaojiang build a "city living room." At the same time, through the ecological use of surrounding farmland and water systems, the project will preserve and revitalize the pastoral texture, create an "ecological habitat" within the city, and enable residents to experience farming culture and the beauty of nature right on their doorstep.
