The Luqiao Baisha to Shangmeng Section Project (G637 Project）is steadily advancing. As the main east-west highway corridor in Luqiao District, this project is a key livelihood initiative to improve the regional road network and support coastal industrial development. Currently, various milestone targets are being achieved in an orderly manner.

Entering the construction site, the roar of machinery is incessant; large excavators swing their long arms for subgrade filling, material transport trucks shuttle back and forth, and workers are pressing ahead intensively with soft foundation treatment operations.

Since construction began, the project has been built at "accelerated speed." To date, a cumulative investment of 302.64 million yuan has been completed, accounting for 37.6% of the total investment; the subgrade works are 58.1% complete, and the bridge works have fully shifted into the pile foundation construction stage.

The construction contractor is working at full capacity, planning to achieve full-line subgrade breakthrough this year and complete50% of the bridge works, ensuring the full-year investment target of450 million yuanis met.

Project manager Tian Tianqing introduced that the project is currently in a critical construction period; all workers, while ensuring safety, are staying at their posts to seize progress, making every effort to advance bridge pile foundations, soft foundation treatment, and subgrade filling, laying a solid foundation for subsequent pavement construction and ensuring the completion of the annual construction tasks.

The project has a total length of 7.86 kilometers, starting at the Baisha Traffic Wharf in Luqiao District. The route runs from east to west, utilizing the existing Jinqing Sluice Bridge to cross the Jinqing Port, passing under the Coastal Expressway, and ending at Shangmeng Village, Jinqing Town, Luqiao District. The total investment is approximately 910 million yuan, with a construction period of 30 months.
