Since the start of construction, the key construction project in Shanxi Province — the Ecological New City Campus (Phase I) of Sanming Medical and Technological Vocational College — has consistently upheld a striving posture of "starting is sprinting" and has made every effort to advance the project construction. To ensure the project proceeds smoothly according to the scheduled milestones, during the "May Day" holiday, all construction personnel on the project stayed at their posts and fought on the front line, paying tribute to Labor Day with practical dedication.

At the project construction site, pile foundation percussion drilling, rebar cage fabrication and installation, concrete pouring and other operations are being carried out simultaneously. The builders have turned the "holiday" into a "construction period," accelerating the project's steady progress toward the main structure construction milestone. In the busy pile foundation work area, Le Jianhuang, a pile foundation construction team leader from Longyan, is skillfully operating the drilling equipment. For him, giving up holidays and staying rooted at his post has long been the norm.

From the pile foundation work area to the rebar processing shed, this year's "May Day" saw more than 80 builders like Le Jianhuang staying at their posts. Everyone is fighting on the construction front line, interpreting the beauty of labor with sweat and paying tribute to the light of labor with struggle.

Our goal is to make up as early as possible for the time lost due to geological conditions, changes in pile foundation process design and other reasons, and to ensure that the project can be delivered and put into use on schedule in 2028."

At present, the project has successfully completed site clearing and the "three connections and one leveling" work. The hardening of the temporary facility site, office area, enclosure and main construction roads have also been initially completed, laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction. It is understood that the Ecological New City Campus Construction Project (Phase I) of Sanming Medical and Technological Vocational College has a planned land area of 232 mu, a total investment of about 800 million yuan, and a total construction period of 730 days. It will build teaching and training buildings, student dormitories, canteens, activity centers, gymnasiums and other building facilities, and improve various supporting auxiliary facilities. After completion, the project can accommodate 3,500 full-time junior college students in specialty groups such as medical nursing and health elderly care, which will significantly enhance the school's capacity for running programs and its radiating and driving role, and cultivate more high-quality technical and skilled talents for regional economic and social development.
