The main construction content of the West Viaduct Ramp Project includes interchange ramps, the elevated main line, and fire access roads. The project alignment is U-shaped, with a total construction length of approximately 6.632 kilometers. The first phase of bridge construction launched this time covers the bridge spanning Guoliang Road on the south side of the West Viaduct Ramp main line, West Viaduct Main Line Bridge No. 1, West Viaduct Main Line Bridge No. 4, fire access roads on both the north and south sides, and the M Ramp Bridge.

According to Changsha High-Speed Rail West City Construction Investment Co., Ltd., the project is currently carrying out preparatory construction work, including upgrading the construction access road for the West Viaduct South Line, mobilizing construction machinery and equipment, and coordinating temporary land use. Pile foundation construction is expected to start on April 20, with the first pile being Pile No. G8-01 at Abutment G8 of the Guoliang Road Bridge. The bridge spanning Guoliang Road is 305 meters long and 12 meters wide, with pile foundations designed at a diameter of 1.2 meters and a length of 30 meters. The construction team will use rotary drilling technology to ensure hole-forming accuracy while effectively controlling disturbance to the strata.

In January this year, the main bridge structure of the supporting and ancillary works for the East Viaduct Ramp of Changsha High-Speed Rail West Station was fully completed. Once built, it will effectively connect Wangcheng Avenue with the station's east drop-off platform. With the official start of the West Viaduct Ramp Project, the comprehensive passenger transport hub of Changsha High-Speed Rail West Station is rapidly taking shape with a traffic system featuring "east in, east out; west in, west out; fast in, fast out." In the future, passenger flows at the West Station will be able to enter and exit the hub within five minutes, greatly improving the station area's traffic distribution efficiency and passengers' travel experience.
