On April 11, the 2026 Passive High-Quality Building Seminar and Green Building Materials Procurement and Inclusion Exchange Conference (Tai'an Station) concluded successfully. The event was co-hosted by Shandong Provincial Academy of Building Research Group Co., Ltd. and the Prefabricated Building Industry Alliance of the Tai'an Enterprise and Entrepreneur Federation, and co-organized by Shandong Jingbo Environmental Protection Materials Co., Ltd.

At present, urban and rural construction is entering a new stage of high-quality development, and the policy orientation of "green, low-carbon, intelligent and safe" has become the modern standard for "good housing." This conference focused on the construction of "good housing," the accompanying use of good materials and the application of green building materials, bringing together industry experts and enterprise representatives to jointly explore the technical pathways for passive ultra-low-energy buildings and practical solutions for the procurement and implementation of green building materials, injecting new momentum into the green transformation of the construction industry.

At the exchange conference, several industry experts delivered keynote speeches, providing practical guidance for the development of green buildings. It was noted at the meeting that the true value of green building materials lies in their application and implementation. At present, Shandong Province has established a mandatory government procurement mechanism covering 16 cities, and all government-invested projects such as hospitals, schools and affordable housing must select included products through the "Green Building Materials Digital Management Service Platform." Meanwhile, Shandong is accelerating technical research under the theme of "good materials supporting good housing" and has released a research and development list of more than 70 items across 8 major directions to help drive innovative achievements from the laboratory to the construction site.

This conference was not only a technical exchange but also a convergence of industry consensus. Good housing is a comprehensive embodiment of safety, greenness, comfort and intelligence, and green building materials are the cornerstone for realizing this vision. Under the influence of continuously strengthened policies and increasingly mature technologies, passive buildings and high-quality building materials will provide effective support for shaping new standards for Chinese housing and achieving the "dual carbon" goals.
