The construction of major industrial projects is one of the important engines driving urban social and economic development. As one of the key industrial tracks that Jiading District has focused on in recent years, artificial intelligence is accelerating from "single-point breakthroughs" toward "full-chain collaboration." Recently, pile foundation construction started at the Jiaju Smart Bay Artificial Intelligence Industrial Park in Juyuan New Area, marking that this major industrial project in Jiading District has entered the substantive construction stage.

The Jiaju Smart Bay Artificial Intelligence Industrial Park is located on the northeast side of the intersection of Qiqian Road and Jiatang Highway. On April 1, at the construction site, multiple pile foundations had begun simultaneous operations, presenting a busy scene.

The project covers an area of about 26.36 mu, with a total investment of 580 million yuan. As an important support for the artificial intelligence industry ecosystem of the "Jiading Science and Innovation Core," the Jiaju Smart Bay Artificial Intelligence Industrial Park is positioned as an artificial intelligence industrial base and a platform for transforming achievements from institute-local cooperation, and is committed to building a core industrial carrier and innovation engine in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).

Lu Jinyi, deputy director of the Engineering Management Department of Shanghai Jucheng Construction Supporting Engineering Co., Ltd., the project's agent construction party, introduced that, centering on the park's functional positioning, the project will build four production and R&D buildings and one supporting building, with a total construction area of about 80,000 square meters.

Once completed, the park will integrate an industrial clustering hub, a computing power service core, a cross-sector integration link, and an innovation ecosystem engine. It will focus on fields such as big data, artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, smart chips, and smart healthcare, actively undertake the industrial transformation of scientific research resources such as the Institute of Intelligent Computing of the Yangtze River Delta National Technology Innovation Center, and build a full-chain ecosystem of "technology R&D-achievement transformation-industrial empowerment."

At the same time, the park will also establish three distinctive platforms: incubation and cultivation, industry-university-research-application, and industrial clustering, providing multi-level support services such as venue support, incubation guidance, talent services, and policy matching to help enterprises develop rapidly.

It is planned to complete all pile foundations by the end of May and carry out foundation pit excavation, start above-ground construction in the first quarter of next year, "strive to achieve structural topping-out in the third and fourth quarters of next year, and the entire project is expected to be fully completed by mid-2028."
