In recent days, at the construction site of the Huzhou Supply and Marketing Logistics Industrial Park project in the Lingang Industrial Park of Daixi Town, Wuxing District, pile drivers have been roaring, presenting a bustling scene of vigorous construction. Since construction began in September last year, the project has attracted widespread attention from all sectors of society.

Huzhou has long enjoyed the reputation of a "land of fish and rice," with abundant specialty agricultural products: Deqing's early spring bamboo shoots, Anji's white tea, Changxing's asparagus, and Nanxun's Hongmeiren mandarin oranges... "Farmers at these bases share a common pain point: harvest seasons are concentrated but shelf lives are short, so selling at low prices is a great pity."
It is understood that the "14th Five-Year Plan for Cold Chain Logistics Development" explicitly proposes building about 100 national backbone cold chain logistics bases. As one of the important urban nodes in the Yangtze River Delta region, Huzhou's construction of a large-scale cold chain logistics park is of great significance.
In accordance with the requirements on advancing cold chain logistics project construction in the 2023 Huzhou Municipal Government Work Report, the Huzhou Supply and Marketing Group established Huzhou Supply and Marketing Cold Chain Logistics Co., Ltd. in May of that year, which is fully responsible for the investment, construction, and future operation of the Huzhou Supply and Marketing Logistics Industrial Park project.
"As one of the cities in the Yangtze River Delta, Huzhou is relatively close to cities such as Hangzhou, Shanghai, and Nanjing, and demand for cold chain logistics is strong," said Pan Deming, general manager of Huzhou Supply and Marketing Cold Chain Logistics Co., Ltd. He stated that the project will fully leverage its locational advantages and resource integration capabilities; in the future, it will not only provide efficient cold chain services for the circulation of agricultural and sideline products in the Yangtze River Delta region, but also reach across the country, helping to open up key links in the domestic cold chain logistics circulation.
The Yangtze River Delta region is one of the most economically vibrant, most open, and most innovative regions in China, with a dense population, strong consumer spending power, and high demand for premium fresh agricultural products. Huzhou is located in the central area of the Yangtze River Delta, with convenient transportation and natural advantages for developing cold chain logistics.
