Recently, the results of the 2025 Middle East Design Awards were officially announced. Three projects submitted by SEPCOIII stood out from numerous entries thanks to their outstanding performance in engineering design innovation, energy efficiency improvement, and sustainable practices.

The Saudi Qassim 1800MW Combined Cycle Power Plant EPC Project and the Saudi Taiba 1800MW Combined Cycle Power Plant EPC Project jointly won the 2025 Middle East Design Awards Gold Award (the sole Gold Award in the Public and Institutional category). The Saudi Nariyah 1800MW Combined Cycle Power Plant EPC Project won the 2025 Middle East Design Awards Silver Award (Architecture - Proposed category).

The Middle East Design Awards are initiated by BETTER FUTURE, the operator of the world's largest design awards network, and are the most influential annual awards in the design and architecture field in the Middle East. As the "Oscars" of the Middle East design field, the awards serve as a benchmark for regional design excellence, aiming to recognize outstanding design works in innovation, sustainability, and social value, and to drive the design industry in the Middle East and beyond toward a more inclusive and forward-looking future.

The Saudi Qassim 1800MW Combined Cycle Power Plant EPC Project is located in central Saudi Arabia. With a design concept of high efficiency and environmental protection, the project will further meet Saudi Arabia's power system security requirements and ensure the reliability of power supply. On August 28, 2025, the project won the Gold Award at the American MUSE Design Awards.

The Saudi Taiba 1800MW Combined Cycle Power Plant EPC Project is located in western Saudi Arabia and adopts H-class gas turbines, consisting of one 3-on-1 combined cycle unit plus one gas turbine in single-cycle operation. Once completed, it will provide ample power supply for Medina and surrounding areas, helping to accelerate the achievement of Saudi Arabia's energy transition goals.

The Saudi Nariyah 1800MW Combined Cycle Power Plant EPC Project is located in eastern Saudi Arabia and is a key project in Saudi Arabia's "Vision 2030" energy transition plan. Combining high efficiency and flexibility, it is of great strategic significance for optimizing Saudi Arabia's power mix, enhancing the grid's peak-shaving capacity, and ensuring the stability of the regional power grid.
