Recently, the Yunnan Fengqing Xueshan Town tea-photovoltaic complementary PV project, for which Kunming Institute served as EPC general contractor, was connected to the grid and put into operation. The project is located in the core tea-producing area of Xueshan Town, Fengqing County, Lincang City, Yunnan Province, about 32 kilometers in a straight line from Fengqing County, and is a tea-photovoltaic complementary photovoltaic power generation project. The project newly built one 220 kV booster station, 37 PV arrays, and 93 collector line tower foundations, with a total collector line route length of 54.41 kilometers (including 36.03 kilometers of overhead lines and 18.38 kilometers of underground cables), and a total installed capacity of 100 MW. It is a key tea-photovoltaic complementary demonstration project promoted by Lincang City.

The project adopts a composite development model of "power generation above the panels and tea cultivation below the panels," achieving clean energy production while safeguarding tea cultivation, and fully practicing the development concept of "dual use of one plot of land and win-win outcomes for agriculture and photovoltaic power." At the same time, the construction roads, irrigation facilities, and other supporting infrastructure built for the project have also indirectly improved tea garden production conditions and driven the tea industry of Xueshan Town toward an "ecological and intensive" transformation. In addition, the successful commissioning of the project provides replicable and scalable experience for developing "new energy + specialty agriculture" in mountainous tea areas of Yunnan Province, helping to ensure that the rural revitalization strategy delivers tangible results.
