On November 26, the 2025 World Intelligent Manufacturing Conference—Special Event on Tiered Cultivation of Smart Factories was successfully held in Nanjing. The event was hosted by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) and the National Intelligent Manufacturing Expert Committee. Xin Guobin, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Ma Xin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Executive Vice Governor; and Su Bo, Director of the National Intelligent Manufacturing Expert Committee, attended the event and delivered speeches. Zhou Ji, Director of the National Manufacturing Power Construction Strategy Advisory Committee; Li Peigen, Director of the National Intelligent Manufacturing Expert Committee and Professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology; and Ge Xingfu, Academician of the German National Academy of Science and Engineering, attended the event. As a representative of leading enterprises in the industry, XCMG Machinery jointly initiated the "Smart Factory · Industrial Intelligence Scenario Innovation Plan."

In his speech, Xin Guobin emphasized that smart factories, as the main battlefield for the deep integration of a new generation of information technology and advanced manufacturing technology, are not only a key vehicle for realizing intelligent manufacturing but also an important engine for driving fundamental changes in industrial models and enterprise forms.

As one of the important segments of this event, the "Smart Factory · Industrial Intelligence Scenario Innovation Plan" was led and initiated by CAICT, with XCMG Machinery participating as one of 18 leading enterprises in the industry in jointly initiating it. This innovation plan will focus on key areas such as industrial large models, industrial intelligent agents, and industrial embodied intelligence, and will precisely target four key directions: mining intelligent scenarios, joint research and validation, distilling standards and knowledge, and promoting innovative achievements, so as to drive the industry toward a new stage of high-quality development driven by intelligence.

During the keynote speech session, Lyu Jinbo, Assistant General Manager of Xuzhou Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd., shared XCMG's exploration of building the "Seven-Star Navigation" model to enhance agile delivery capabilities in response to diverse demands in the global market.

With the theme of "AI Empowers, Intelligent Manufacturing Shapes the Future," this special event conducted in-depth discussions on the tiered cultivation and innovative practices of smart factories, building broad consensus for the high-quality development of intelligent manufacturing. More than 300 people attended the event, including responsible officials from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and relevant departments of Jiangsu Province, as well as experts, scholars, and enterprise representatives from home and abroad.
