On November 26, the stator of Unit 4 of the Hebei Shangyi Pumped Storage Power Station, built under a general contract by Sinohydro Bureau 4, was precisely lifted into the machine pit and positioned in place, marking the completion of stator hoisting for all four units of the power station, 76 days ahead of the planned schedule.

As a core component of the generator-motor unit, the stator is characterized by large overall dimensions, heavy hoisting weight, and high technical precision, and its installation quality directly bears on the long-term operational stability and energy efficiency of the unit. The stator of Unit 4 hoisted this time has an outer diameter of approximately 6.8 meters, is stacked from more than 100,000 silicon steel sheets each 0.5 mm thick, and weighs approximately 420 tons in total. During the hoisting operation, the Shangyi project department planned scientifically and deployed meticulously, and all work teams coordinated closely and cooperated precisely, ensuring that the entire hoisting process was safe, smooth, and orderly and was precisely positioned in place in a single lift. Upon precision inspection, the cylindricity of the Unit 4 stator core reached 0.22 mm, better than the design standards and code requirements and reaching the industry-leading level.

According to reports, since the stator hoisting task was launched, the project team completed the hoisting of all four large stators continuously, efficiently, and with high quality in just 180 days—on May 31, the stator of Unit 1 was hoisted; on June 27, the stator of Unit 2 was hoisted; on August 19, the stator of Unit 3 was hoisted; and on November 26, the stator of Unit 4 was hoisted. This set a new industry record for the construction of pumped storage power stations of the same type and fully demonstrated the hard-core strength of the "Bureau 4 Electromechanical" team, which combines professional craftsmanship, high efficiency, and outstanding quality.

The Hebei Shangyi Pumped Storage Power Station is a key project in the national renewable energy development plan. It is equipped with four 350,000-kilowatt reversible pump-turbine units, with a total installed capacity of 1.4 million kilowatts. After the station is put into operation, it can save approximately 150,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 400,000 tons each year, playing an important role in optimizing the energy structure of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, ensuring the stable operation of the power grid, and promoting the consumption of new energy.
