On November 24, it was learned from Sinohydro Bureau 7 Co., Ltd. that Goran Mijoski, Chairman of the North Macedonia Road Engineers Association and Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering in North Macedonia, presented a silver medal to the KO Highway Project Department in North Macedonia, in recognition of its outstanding contributions and professional technical support during the Third North Macedonia Road Congress.

During the award ceremony, Mijoski spoke highly of the professionalism and execution capabilities demonstrated by the KO Highway project team since the commencement of construction. He stated that the project department has not only contributed to the modernization of North Macedonia's road infrastructure with excellent engineering quality, but has also injected new vitality into the country's engineering construction industry through in-depth technical collaboration and experience sharing, fully demonstrating the technical strength and sense of responsibility of Chinese enterprises in the international market. He noted that the project department's key breakthrough in the application of warm-mix additive technology for asphalt concrete is a technical model. This innovative process effectively addresses construction bottlenecks such as rapid cooling of asphalt mixtures and compaction difficulties in low-temperature environments, successfully extending the winter construction window by nearly two months. It not only ensures the construction progress and quality of the KO Highway, but also provides a replicable and scalable Chinese solution for road construction under similar climatic conditions in the Balkan region.

It is reported that both parties have reached a consensus on deepening cooperation. In the future, they will focus on areas such as intelligent transportation, green building materials, and technological innovation, continuously carrying out technical exchanges and joint research, and jointly promoting the high-quality development of North Macedonia's transportation infrastructure.
