On November 13 local time, Kenyan President William Ruto visited the Kwa Suk area of Kitui County to inspect the Tulia Road Project undertaken by PowerChina and presided over the project's groundbreaking ceremony. He was accompanied by several government officials, including Kenyan Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport Davis Chirchir, Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi, Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano, and Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Fred Mutua. Wu Peng, PowerChina's Country Representative for Kenya, and relevant personnel from member enterprises attended the event.

During the inspection, President Ruto carefully listened to a report on the project's implementation, inspected the construction mobilization and equipment preparations, and fully affirmed the project's scientific organization and management, efficient construction mobilization, and PowerChina's professional and rigorous contract performance capabilities. He stated that the project is of great significance for improving the local transportation network and promoting regional economic growth, and expressed his expectation that the project will be completed at an early date to benefit the local people.

The Tulia Road Project is a key project in Kenya's transportation infrastructure construction and is classified as an International Class A trunk road, with a total length of 33.77 kilometers. The project mainly includes the construction of asphalt concrete pavement, river-crossing bridges, drainage systems, and other facilities. Once completed, the road will significantly improve traffic conditions in Kitui County and surrounding areas, enhance regional connectivity, promote trade exchanges and livelihood improvement, and drive economic and social development along the route.

Since entering the site, the PowerChina project team has carried out scientific planning and meticulous organization, with all preparatory work advancing steadily. In the future, PowerChina will continue to aim for high-quality contract performance, build the project into another landmark project of China-Kenya cooperation, and contribute PowerChina's strength to advancing the realization of Kenya's national development strategy and regional economic prosperity.
