On November 12, it was learned from the front line that with the precise positioning of the last truss, the steel structure of Hall 6 of the Serbian Convention Center was successfully completed. At this point, the steel structures of the three core exhibition halls—Halls 1, 3, and 6—undertaken by Sinohydro Bureau 7 Co., Ltd. of Power Construction Corporation of China have all been completed, with a total steel consumption of 6,241 tons, achieving the milestone target ahead of schedule.
The Serbian Convention Center is one of the six measures supported by China for building a China-Serbia community with a shared future. Once completed, it will become one of the largest international trade exhibition venues in Europe. Hall 6 is one of the seven major venues of the convention center, with a steel consumption of 2,043 tons and a total of 37 trusses, with a maximum single-truss span of 44 meters and a maximum weight of 37 tons. Since the hoisting of the first truss of Hall 3 started on May 9, the project department, in the face of challenges such as a tight schedule, frequent design changes, and stringent European standards, has optimized assembly and hoisting processes and implemented refined management and control, successfully completing all hoisting work over nearly 180 days.
The early completion of the main steel structures of the three major exhibition halls marks that the project has fully shifted to the stage of roofing, secondary structures, and mechanical and electrical installation, laying a solid foundation for subsequent construction and overall delivery.
