On November 7, as the first truckload of hot-mix asphalt was slowly poured into the paver hopper, the NOVA3 extension section—a key project of the Serbia Sports Center infrastructure project—officially began asphalt layer construction, marking the project's full entry into the critical stage of pavement structure construction.

It is reported that the NOVA3 extension section and interchange project, as an important component of the supporting infrastructure for Serbia's National Football Stadium, is a key corridor connecting the city's main traffic network with the core area of the sports center. The scope of work covers the design and construction of road structures, ramp systems, and bridges, including key node works such as the "National Stadium" DNR ramps (R1, R2, R3, R4), sections of the main ramps, part of the Nova 3 road extension, the Petrac Canal Bridge, the E75 highway viaduct, and the acceleration lane extension. The project team strictly monitored key aspects throughout the entire process—including the mixing temperature of the asphalt mixture, transportation timeliness, paving thickness, number of rolling passes, and joint treatment—to ensure that every step met design specification requirements.

The smooth implementation of the NOVA3 extension section will greatly improve regional traffic conditions in the Surčin area of Belgrade, provide convenient and efficient traffic support for the soon-to-be-completed Serbian National Football Stadium, and also create favorable conditions for hosting major events such as the 2028 UEFA European Football Championship.
