The Hoisting Machinery Park of Zoomlion's Smart Industrial City relies on "smart manufacturing" to achieve "one crane rolling off the line every 18 minutes," while Baoshan Mining of Hunan Mineral Group uses technological empowerment to give an old mine green vitality. Both take technological innovation as the core, not only demonstrating Hunan's hard power in smart manufacturing but also injecting strong momentum into the upgrading of traditional industries.

As the world's leading intelligent production base for cranes, the Hoisting Machinery Park of Zoomlion's Smart Industrial City can not only build 4,000-ton-class all-terrain cranes but also simultaneously produce new energy models. Li Ying, deputy director of the Process Research Institute of Zoomlion's Hoisting Machinery Company, introduced: "We use 'flexible intelligence' to respond to 'ever-changing demands.'"

"Flexible manufacturing" is perfectly demonstrated in the welding workshop. In the workshop, robotic arms flexibly switch workpieces, and the astonishing "3-minute rapid mold change" technology: the bases of welding stations are universal like "building block bases," while fixtures are split by model. During switching, robots automatically replace fixtures without any manual intervention throughout the process. Mixed-line production of hundreds of models can also ensure stable quality, and changeover efficiency is 30% higher than traditional methods.

If the welding workshop is the starting point of "flexible manufacturing," then the assembly workshop is the endpoint of "precise and efficient" production.

A 15-meter-long, 15-ton frame is being precisely lifted by an overhead conveying system. "In the past, we relied on flatbed trucks and forklifts for transport, and the line side was piled with parts. Now all nine key components are conveyed overhead, improving both workshop tidiness and efficiency," introduced Peng Bin, director of the Process Intelligent Manufacturing Management Office of Zoomlion's Hoisting Machinery Company.

On the ground, nearly 300 AMR autonomous planning robots shuttle about, precisely delivering everything from screws to large accessories to each workstation, forming an intelligent logistics network that "combines ground and air."

Here there is also "invisible intelligence": the central control systems of 36 production lines and 22 information systems weave a vast information network. The central control screen displays workpiece status and processing parameters in real time and can even trace back to the process data at the product source, achieving end-to-end connectivity across production, supply, and sales.

Quality control is equally hardcore. The self-developed "Smart Tightening Cloud" system makes the tightening personnel, time, and parameters of every bolt traceable. The tire automatic assembly lights-out unit uses two robots working together to complete in 15 minutes the workload traditionally requiring 3 people and 40 minutes, directly doubling output.

Today, Zoomlion's cranes have become the "Chinese force" in global infrastructure: Zoomlion's 4,000-ton-class crane can smoothly lift a 260-ton component at an altitude of 160 meters (equivalent to 60 adult elephants); from wind power projects in Vietnam and modular construction in South Korea to thermal power projects in Turkey and the Jakarta International Stadium, Zoomlion cranes can be seen, bringing "Chinese smart manufacturing" to the world.
