The Phase II Project of the Three Gorges Energy Zhangzhou Zhangpu Liu'ao Offshore Wind Farm in Fujian is located in the offshore waters southeast of Liu'ao Peninsula, Zhangpu, with a site area of approximately 22.9 square kilometers. It is the first wind farm project in the offshore waters of southern Fujian and the first project in China to apply 16 MW offshore wind turbines on a batch basis. With a total investment of nearly 6 billion yuan and a designed total installed capacity of 400 MW, the project can generate more than 1.6 billion kWh of on-grid electricity annually after commissioning, saving about 500,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.36 million tons per year.
