Recently, the main construction of the Xili Reservoir risk elimination and reinforcement project in Shenzhen commenced.

　　Xili Reservoir is located in Xili Subdistrict, Nanshan District, Shenzhen. It is a medium-sized reservoir primarily serving flood control and urban water supply, and also performing a raw water storage and regulation function. The reservoir has a total storage capacity of 36.89 million cubic meters. The main construction contents include: dam seepage control works, spillway works, water conveyance culvert works, metal structures and electrical works, monitoring works, and other works. Once completed, the project will eliminate the reservoir's safety hazards, improve its flood control capacity, and ensure the normal performance of its flood control, storage and regulation functions.

　　In the earlier stage, the project department carried out extensive resource coordination and on-site surveys, making adequate preparations for the commencement of the main works. The start of the main works means that project construction has entered its peak period, which will strongly advance construction and ensure subsequent contract performance.‍
