BEIJING, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- China's State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) recently approved and released 37 national metrology technical specifications, covering multiple fields including railway transportation, healthcare, and environmental noise monitoring. These technical specifications will promote scientific and technological development and the transformation of applications in related fields.
Metrology technical specifications are codes of conduct in measurement activities that ensure accurate and reliable measurement results, and are used to solve the problems of "what cannot be measured and what cannot be measured accurately" in production and daily life. Zhang Yiqun, a first-level inspector of the Metrology Department of the SAMR, introduced at a press conference on the 29th that China currently has a total of 2,077 national metrology technical specifications in force. Departments and local authorities, based on industry characteristics and the needs of regional economic and social development, have formulated and issued nearly 3,000 departmental and local metrology technical specifications.
Since the beginning of this year, the SAMR has released three batches totaling 99 national metrology technical specifications. The 37 national metrology technical specifications released this time involve multiple metrology specialties such as temperature, ionizing radiation, pressure, and acoustics, and are oriented toward multiple fields including trade handover, life and health, industrial development, and ecological environmental protection. Zhang Yiqun pointed out that the release and implementation of these national metrology technical specifications will further standardize codes of conduct for metrology technology in related fields, enhance metrology capabilities and levels, and promote high-quality development.
In recent years, with China's industrial upgrading and the rapid development of intelligent manufacturing, industrial robots have become key supporting equipment for building a manufacturing powerhouse.
Han Yizhong, deputy director of the 304 Research Institute of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, pointed out at the press conference that China is a major producer of industrial robots and has been the world's largest consumer of industrial robots for nine consecutive years. Industrial robots are essentially equipment based on precise measurement and execution at production and testing sites. The release of relevant technical specifications will help robots deliver optimal performance, is of great significance for stabilizing operation quality, and will also help promote industrial upgrading and optimization of the industrial robot industry.
