Yangtze Cloud News, September 28: The long-awaited Wuhan Hub Through Line has finally officially launched! Among them, the new Wuhan Xinhanyang Station, as an important node on the Wuhan Hub Through Line, will achieve interconnection with multiple high-speed rail lines!

　　The construction of the Wuhan Hub Through Line is of pivotal significance for optimizing the overall layout of the Wuhan high-speed rail hub. It is not only the core link in Wuhan's high-speed rail network, but also a key bridge connecting the westward Wuhan-Xi'an High-Speed Railway and Wuhan-Jingmen-Yichang High-Speed Railway with the southeastward Wuhan-Jiujiang High-Speed Railway and Hefei-Wuhan High-Speed Railway.

　　Through this line, Wuhan has successfully achieved interconnection among these newly built high-speed rail lines, building a high-speed rail transportation network that extends in all directions and is efficient and convenient.

　　Among them, Xinhanyang Station is currently the largest high-speed rail hub planned in Wuhan, with a station yard scale of 7 platforms and 12 tracks, and a station building area of 80,000 square meters, making it the largest hub station in Hubei Province.

　　As an important node on the Wuhan Hub Through Line, Xinhanyang Station will achieve interconnection with multiple high-speed rail lines and become an important transportation hub in Wuhan and even Central China.

What benefits will the completion of the Wuhan Hub Through Line bring?

1. Shortened railway travel time! Greatly saving time

After the Wuhan Hub Through Line is completed, it will avoid the need for a large number of trains from Xi'an via the Wuhan hub to Jiujiang and other directions to detour through Hankou Station for reversing operations, enabling direct passage of this diagonal traffic flow within the hub. The travel time from Xi'an to Jiujiang can be shortened by 23 minutes.

2. Newly built Hanyang Station offers more travel choices!

At present, the main passenger stations within the Wuhan hub are Wuhan Station, Hankou Station, and Wuchang Station. Through the newly built Hanyang Station, it will handle trains introduced into the Wuhan hub via the Fuzhou-Yinchuan Corridor and the Yangtze River Coastal High-Speed Railway. At the same time, it will balance the layout of high-speed rail stations across the three towns of Wuhan and facilitate railway travel for passengers in the western part of the Wuhan metropolitan area.

3. Newly built Yangtze River Bridge alleviates pressure on railway river crossings!

Overlooking the Wuhan section of the Yangtze River from the air, 11 Yangtze River bridges already cross the "natural chasm," while only the Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge and the Tianxingzhou Yangtze River Bridge are road-rail dual-purpose bridges. The Wuhan Hub Through Line launched this time will build a new Baishazhou Road-Rail Dual-Purpose Yangtze River Bridge across the Yangtze River, which can effectively alleviate the pressure on railway river crossings in the Wuhan area.

4. Become an important transportation hub in Wuhan and even Central China

As an important node on the Wuhan Hub Through Line, Xinhanyang Station will achieve interconnection with multiple high-speed rail lines and become an important transportation hub in Wuhan and even Central China.

Project Overview:

The Wuhan Hub Through Line is a key project for introducing the Yangtze River Coastal High-Speed Railway and the Fuzhou-Yinchuan Corridor into the Wuhan hub.

The line starts from Yunmeng East Station on the Wuhan-Shiyan High-Speed Railway. The section from Yunmeng East to the Gexin Line Branch is 40.15 km long, with a newly built Xiaogan South Station; the section from the Gexin Line Branch to the Zoumaoling Line Branch is 11.38 km long and utilizes the Wuhan-Yichang High-Speed Railway under construction; the section from Zoumaoling to the Huangjiahu Line Branch is 32.04 km long, with the newly built Hanyang Station and the Baishazhou Road-Rail Dual-Purpose Yangtze River Bridge; connecting lines are set up to connect with the Wuhan-Huangshi Intercity Railway.

The project construction period is 5 years, with an estimated investment of approximately 34 billion yuan.
