On September 25, the shield-driven tunnel section from Binhai Airport Station (Binzhong section substation) to Zhongxin Avenue Station in Section 02 of Phase I of Tianjin Rail Transit Line Z2, constructed by China Railway Binhai (Tianjin) Rail Transit Investment Development Co., Ltd. and undertaken by China Railway No. 4 Engineering Group Co., Ltd., achieved a phased breakthrough: the right line was successfully holed through, marking the complete holing-through of both lines in this section. This is also the seventh shield-driven section to be holed through on the entire line, laying a solid foundation for the full "tunnel holing-through" of Line Z2.

The right-line shield-driven section from Binhai Airport Station (Binzhong section substation) to Zhongxin Avenue Station (hereinafter referred to as the "Binzhong section"), which was holed through this time, is one of the underground tunnel sections of the entire line. It starts from Zhongxin Avenue Station, passes sideways in sequence beneath buildings such as Tianjin (Airport) European Trade Center and Airport Xutong Plaza, and terminates at the Binzhong section substation, with a total length of 3.27 km. To ensure the smooth reception of the shield machine this time, China Railway Binhai Investment Company, together with the section contractor, on the basis of summarizing the experience from previous successful shield machine receptions, strengthened process control and dynamic monitoring of shield tunneling through measures such as formulating maintenance plans and equipment operating procedures for the shield machine, adjusting and optimizing construction parameters, holding safety briefings and training, daily pre-shift talks, daily coordination meetings, and carrying out emergency drills and labor competitions, thereby ensuring the smooth, orderly and safe advancement of the shield machine.
