Since the start of the summer travel season, cross-regional passenger flows across the country have exceeded 10 billion person-trips. The comprehensive, multi-dimensional transportation network connecting all directions not only provides tourists with convenient travel options but also injects new vitality into the summer consumer market.

Data from the Ministry of Transport shows that from July 1 to August 27, cumulative cross-regional passenger flows across the country reached approximately 10.218 billion person-trips, up 3.7% year on year.

Cumulative railway passenger volume has reached 831 million person-trips. An increasingly dense high-speed rail network is driving new vitality in county-level tourism. Foping County in Shaanxi Province is a habitat for several key protected animal species in China; since the start of the summer travel season, the local high-speed rail station has handled more than 100,000 passenger arrivals and departures, up 27.3% year on year.

During the summer travel season, daily expressway traffic volume averaged 3.478 million vehicles, with the number of self-driving travelers showing steady growth. Service areas with distinctive features are leveraging local tourism resources to develop new consumer highlights. In addition to meeting travelers' needs for rest, refueling and dining, the Luhun Service Area in Henan Province has partnered with multiple scenic spots to launch recreational offerings such as single-rider water scooters and pleasure boats, making "service area + tourism" a new scenario for tourism consumption.

This summer travel season, the civil aviation industry has increased capacity input and enriched its route network. Nationwide, average daily civil aviation passenger volume rose 11% year on year, with single-day passenger volume hitting a record high.

In addition to rail, road and civil aviation, tourism activities such as taking cruises to see city night views and distinctive island tours have been favored by many consumers. Data shows that since the start of the summer travel season, more than 60 million passengers have been carried by water nationwide.
