As an important part of the ring-Tarim trunk line of southern Xinjiang's "tens-of-millions-of-kilowatts new energy base," the First Division Aral 2GW Photovoltaic Base Project (Phase I) began construction in 2023. The project is divided into 5 bid sections, each built with an installed capacity of 200 megawatts. Construction of all 246,400 foundation piles across all bid sections has now been completed.

"Since construction began, one-sixth of the civil works has been completed. The entire project is expected to be completed by the end of this year, achieving full-capacity operation," said Guo Fei, head of the First Division Aral 2GW Photovoltaic Base Project (Phase I).

As one of the photovoltaic power generation projects currently under construction in First Division Aral City, the First Division Aral 2GW Photovoltaic Base (Phase I) Project has a total investment of 2.945 billion yuan, covers more than 30,000 mu, and has a total planned installed capacity of 1,000 megawatts, with annual power generation of 760 million kWh and an annual equivalent generation time of 1,225.9 hours. All generated electricity will be connected to the 220 kV side of the Aksu 750 kV substation, which is of great significance for promoting the economic development of both the corps and local areas and for sharing green resources.

Since last year, First Division Aral City has closely followed the "dual carbon" goals, making the development of the new energy industry a key to promoting green and low-carbon transformation and cultivating industries. Based on its industrial and resource advantages, it has vigorously introduced a number of new energy power generation projects from central and state-owned enterprises to settle locally. Up to now, First Division Aral City has completed photovoltaic power generation projects with a capacity of 710,000 kilowatts. Related photovoltaic projects in the Second Regiment and Eleventh Regiment will also be completed successively. It is expected that by the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan," the total installed capacity of photovoltaic projects in First Division Aral City will exceed 4.81 million kilowatts, providing a steady stream of green momentum for high-quality economic and social development.
