Bauer Far East Group achieved success in cooperation with a Sri Lankan client on the Colombo West Container Terminal construction project in Sri Lanka.

The two Bauer BG 30 rotary drilling rigs and the construction team involved in the project overcame highly challenging geological conditions with their superb professional expertise and were highly recognized by the partners.

After the Bauer professional team commissioned the two machines on site, they not only provided support to the client in terms of equipment, but also guided the correct combined use of Bauer drilling tools and trained the client's operators and maintenance team, maximizing the construction performance of the equipment.

The two Bauer BG 30 rotary drilling rigs worked on a single platform, with borehole diameters of 1,300 mm and 1,400 mm and depths of nearly 50 meters. At the bottom of the holes, hard rock with strength between 50 and 100 MPa was encountered.

With outstanding performance and powerful drive, the Bauer BG 30 rigs played a key role in building solid and reliable wharf pile foundations for the port facility, ensuring the durability of the terminal's infrastructure for years to come.
