In order to further build a skilled talent team with a craftsman spirit, cultivate more outstanding craftsman talents, and boost the high-quality development of the enterprise, CRCHI's 2023 Non-Destructive Testing Skills Competition was recently successfully held at the Turnout Branch. NDT elites from affiliated units and subsidiaries gathered together to compete on the same stage.

This NDT skills competition consisted of two parts: a theoretical examination and a practical examination, requiring participants to understand principles, recognize phenomena, and be able to operate. The theoretical knowledge examination mainly tested contestants' grasp of the basic knowledge of ultrasonic testing methods; the practical examination mainly tested contestants' testing proficiency for forgings and welds.

01. Theoretical Examination

The contestants held their breath and focused intently, sometimes with furrowed brows, sometimes with a smile at the corners of their mouths. Facing the comprehensive theoretical knowledge assessment, everyone was fully alert and responded calmly.

02. Practical Assessment

Equipment debugging, preliminary scanning, defect locating, sizing, and grading... The contestants all brought out their "special skills," showing off their expertise and style, revealing the demeanor of masters in every movement of their fingers.

Closing Ceremony

After two days of fierce competition, 6 contestants stood out. They stepped onto the podium and held their hard-earned honors in their hands. One minute on stage, ten years of practice off stage—at this moment they fully enjoyed the joy of harvest.

Tan Guangyong, member of the Party Committee, Vice General Manager, and Chairman of the Labor Union of CRCHI, delivered a closing speech. He required all units to vigorously create a strong atmosphere of respecting talent and valuing skills, make every effort to build a platform for employees to grow and succeed, and promote the high-quality development of the group company with a first-class talent team.
