On July 13, the China Construction Machinery Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) organized the 16th China (Beijing) International Construction Machinery, Building Material Machinery and Mining Machinery Exhibition and Technical Exchange Conference (hereinafter referred to as BICES 2023) Shaanxi Transportation and Municipal System Professional User Symposium (hereinafter referred to as the User Symposium) in Xi'an, Shaanxi. This was also the fifth out-of-Beijing professional user symposium held by BICES 2023 following those in Shandong, Shanxi, Hebei and Henan. The symposium introduced the latest preparations for BICES 2023 and the latest situation of the construction machinery industry to major user units in Shaanxi Province, and extended an invitation to attend BICES 2023 to the participating representatives. More than 40 people attended the meeting, including Lu Ying, Deputy Secretary-General of the Association and General Manager of Beijing Tianshi Huagong International Exhibition Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Exhibition Company); Jiao Shengjie, President of the Association's Road Construction and Maintenance Machinery Branch, and Zhang Xinong, Secretary-General of the Branch; Gao Yanbei, Party Secretary of the School of Construction Machinery of Chang'an University, and Ye Min, Dean of the School, as the organizing units of the User Symposium; Xi Hongsheng, General Manager of Xi'an Changlu Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd.; and representatives of user units in the Shaanxi transportation and municipal system such as Shaanxi Road & Bridge, Shaanxi Expressway, Shaanxi Transportation Holding, provincial and municipal highway bureaus, and Xi'an Municipal Administration.

Lu Ying presents "Development Situation and Trends of the Construction Machinery Industry" and "Organization and Preparations of BICES 2023"

Lu Ying first expressed gratitude to the participating user units for their long-term support of the Association's industry work and the BICES exhibition work, and then introduced the development situation and trends of the construction machinery industry, with particular focus on the economic operation situation and characteristics of the industry, key technological breakthroughs and development directions. In introducing the preparations for BICES 2023, Lu Ying stated that with the strong and firm support of all parties in the industry, this year's exhibition, centered on the theme of "Digital Efficiency, Green Reliability," will showcase a large number of high-end, intelligent and green construction machinery products and technologies, and that suppliers and service providers in some new fields will bring their latest service solutions for the first time. BICES 2023 will be the highest-quality industry exhibition in the Eurasia region this year with the largest number of leading global construction machinery enterprises directly participating. At present, all preparatory work for the exhibition is basically in place, and work concerning exhibitors, user visitors, activities and publicity has fully entered the pre-opening preparation stage. At the meeting, an invitation to visit was also extended to user units in Shaanxi Province. At this critical juncture of the transformation of old and new growth drivers in China's construction machinery industry, BICES 2023 will bring exhibitors and user visitors an industry gala that provides insight into the industry's future and promotes and facilitates the high-quality development of the industry. The global construction machinery industry exhibition calendar has now entered BICES 2023 time.

On behalf of the School, he expressed gratitude and welcome to all the guests, and stated that the School of Construction Machinery of Chang'an University was honored to serve as the organizing unit of this meeting and thanked the Association for its trust and support and for bringing the latest industry and exhibition information to user units in Shaanxi Province. He then introduced the basic situation of the university and the School, discipline development and development plans, and expressed the hope that the Association and visiting enterprises would strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the university in such areas as talent cultivation, scientific research and social services, so as to share resources, complement each other's strengths and jointly promote the progress and development of the industry.

In his concluding remarks, Jiao Shengjie stated that BICES, as a brand exhibition led and hosted by the Association, is an important display platform dedicated to new technologies, new products, new services, new processes and new standards in the industry, and also an important exchange and matchmaking platform for manufacturers, service providers and user units. He expressed the hope that everyone would actively participate and experience the industry's development achievements in recent years, and that everyone would attend with purposes and needs, communicate more with exhibitors, and jointly promote the high-quality development of the construction machinery industry.

During the discussion and exchange session, representatives of the participating user units expressed gratitude to the Association and BICES for organizing the meeting. They said that through the meeting they not only learned about the latest development situation of the construction machinery industry but also gained a deeper understanding of BICES 2023 in Beijing. They all stated that they would organize relevant personnel from their units to visit the exhibition in Beijing and looked forward to meeting and exchanging views with old and new friends in the industry at BICES 2023 in Beijing in September. The participating representatives also exchanged views on issues existing in the current use of equipment in the transportation and municipal system, such as the follow-up use of equipment brought about by the non-road China IV emission standards, and expressed the hope that at BICES 2023 they could discuss and exchange views with the Association and more manufacturing enterprises to improve the full life cycle use of equipment.
