Against the backdrop of the "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" goals, green and low-carbon development has become the only way for the construction machinery industry to achieve high-quality development. Su Zimeng, President of the China Construction Machinery Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association), stated: In recent years, enterprises across the industry have actively responded to the national dual-carbon development strategy, practiced the green and low-carbon development philosophy, and, in line with market demand, dared to innovate and increased investment in scientific research, developing and manufacturing a variety of new energy construction machinery products powered by electricity, hydrogen and hybrid power. These products have been gradually applied in engineering construction fields such as mining, port operations, tunnel construction, logistics and warehousing, and building installation, continuously providing green construction equipment and solutions to the market and customers, and have been recognized by the market, users and operators. The market development and application space for green and low-carbon construction machinery will be very broad in the future.
On June 13, at the press conference and exhibitor preparatory meeting of the 16th China (Beijing) International Construction Machinery, Building Material Machinery and Mining Machinery Exhibition and Technical Exchange Conference (BICES 2023), Li Jianyou, Vice President of the China Construction Machinery Association and President of the Dual-Carbon Working Committee, announced: The Association's Dual-Carbon Committee will cooperate with the BICES Organizing Committee to set up a "Dual-Carbon Exhibition Area" for the first time at BICES 2023. This aims to encourage and guide industry enterprises to exhibit relevant green and low-carbon technologies and equipment and services, including electric new energy construction machinery, during the exhibition, thereby supporting domestic and international engineering construction projects such as green transportation, green mining and green urban and rural construction.
According to feedback from exhibiting enterprises to the Dual-Carbon Committee, at BICES 2023, relevant construction machinery host, component and supporting service enterprises will actively launch and showcase their latest green and low-carbon technologies, equipment and services. For example, Zoomlion will bring a number of its latest high-end, green and intelligent excavators, mobile cranes and concrete machinery to the exhibition, with nearly 50% of the exhibits being products applying new energy technologies, including pure electric, plug-in and hybrid new energy products; Hangcha Group has actively signed up for a large area in the Dual-Carbon Exhibition Zone of BICES 2023 and will focus on displaying its full range of green, low-carbon and new energy products such as lithium battery and hydrogen energy products; Shandong Lingong will also display a number of host products such as electric excavators and loaders; key enterprises such as XCMG, LiuGong and Sany will also present relevant new energy products at the exhibition; at the same time, supporting and service enterprises such as Kaibo Yikong, Jike Development and China Machinery Certification and Inspection will also actively showcase three-electric supporting technologies, products and dual-carbon certification and inspection services. At this BICES exhibition, green, low-carbon and new energy will become the highlights of the exhibition.
At the same time, during the exhibition, the Association's Dual-Carbon Committee and the BICES Organizing Committee will also carry out selection and commendation activities centered on the green development of construction machinery, and organize and convene a standards work meeting of the Dual-Carbon Committee. Domestic and international experts, scholars and industry colleagues will be invited to discuss the major plans for the green and low-carbon development of the construction machinery industry.
To facilitate visits to the exhibition, inspection of exhibits, and technical exchange and cooperation by upstream and downstream green and low-carbon users and enterprises, the Association's Dual-Carbon Committee will work with the BICES Organizing Committee to solicit from exhibiting enterprises a list of green and low-carbon technologies and equipment for BICES 2023, and will provide visitors with the BICES 2023 Green, Low-Carbon and New Energy Technology and Equipment Exhibits Handbook during the exhibition, showcasing the green and low-carbon technologies, equipment, achievements and applications of the construction machinery industry.
