Brief Analysis of Structural Design of Static Pressed PHC Pipe Piles

The traditional construction methods for prestressed concrete (PHC) pipe piles are the hammering method and the static pressing method, among which the static pressing method includes the clamping (gripping) pressing mode and the top pressing mode. In recent years, the static pressing method has been widely used in South China due to its good quality, fast construction speed, intuitive readings, and small impact on surrounding buildings. This paper discusses prestressed concrete pipe piles (pressed) from the perspective of structural design, including determination of the pile tip bearing stratum, center-to-center spacing of pipe piles, and selection of pile shaft and pile tip, so as to achieve a reasonable design of static pressed pipe piles and ensure project quality.

Comparison of CFG Pile Composite Foundation and Prestressed Pipe Pile Foundation Schemes

Prestressed pipe piles are the most widely used type in pile foundations, accounting for approximately 80% of all pile foundation construction projects. CFG piles can substantially increase the bearing capacity of natural foundations and reduce foundation settlement of buildings, and offer advantages such as simple and feasible construction methods, a wide range of applicable strata, short construction periods, low cost, and minimal pollution; in recent years, they have been widely applied in various regions across the country. Based on an engineering case of a high-rise residential building in Bengbu that adopted CFG pile composite foundation treatment and prestressed pipe piles, this paper evaluates their performance merits through their respective performance-to-price ratios, which is of great significance for future practical engineering applications.

By analyzing the specific environment, construction conditions, and bearing capacity requirements of different buildings, and leveraging their respective strengths, they can be used to remedy deficiencies in earlier construction or construction quality defects, effectively preventing further serious quality accidents and achieving "small investment, small impact, big effect."
