Construction Treatment Plan for Foundation Pipe Piles in a Staff Dormitory Building Project
High-strength prestressed pipe piles are widely used in the foundation engineering of many new buildings due to their high vertical bearing capacity, convenient construction, and short construction period; at the same time, some problems have also arisen in engineering practice. Relatively common issues are defective piles such as "short piles," "broken piles," "inclined piles," and "Category III piles," with complex causes; these include not only factors of inadequate consideration in design but also factors of on-site construction by the construction unit. In addition, the engineering geological conditions vary greatly from region to region, and the skill levels of construction teams are uneven. Once such situations occur, the handling of the accidents often leads to increased foundation engineering costs, extended construction periods, and relatively large losses for the owner.
PHC prestressed pipe piles are suitable for areas where the overburden consists of artificial fill, soft soil, cohesive soil, silt, silty sand, fine sand, and medium sand, with the bearing
